Under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Graduate Nurse strives for excellence in the performance of care requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills. Centered on the patient as a whole person – body, mind, and spirit – applies principles of psychological, biological, physical, and social sciences. Applies nursing process and acquired nursing skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary and culturally appropriate patient care in keeping with a focus on healing and wellness. Incorporates established practice guidelines and regulatory standards, concurrently evaluating opportunities to improve patient’s outcomes. The Graduate Nurse may not perform independently: all functions/actions must be performed under direction of a Registered Nurse Job Description: Graduate Nurse-Fall 2025 Operating Room Nurses provide care and support to patients before, during and after surgery. Clinical decision-making incorporates all four phases of the nursing process, critical thinking and creativity.
