(Professional Administrative Tracks in Health Care) Internship Program’s goal is to provide an interesting, structured learning experience to prepare students for success as an administrative professional. Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work well with public and staff, and as a team member.
  • Requires excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a demonstration of emerging leadership skills.
  • Must be able to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Good research skills and willingness to learn new skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail and produce high–quality work is a must.
  • Must have good computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

  • Under direct supervision performs a variety of projects or one large project in accordance with specific instructions and established work procedures. This position is for a graduate college level student who is hired to support management with projects plans and related activities. May require taking a lead role in a project or working on a team that is leading project. Receives project guidelines/instructions from management and delivers within the scope of their responsibility a finalized product.
  • Participates in department activities as required and provides support as needed which may include analysis and research.
  • Complies with established departmental policies, procedures and objectives.
  • Attends variety of meetings, conferences, seminars as required or directed.
  • Demonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operations.
  • Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements.
  • Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.
  • Maintains, regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
  • Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.
