What We Do Our Public Affairs team plays a critical role in shaping and strengthening how we communicate, both within our organization and across the communities we serve. As strategic storytellers and trusted advisors, the team leads efforts that drive transparent, consistent, and impactful internal communications while supporting our broader corporate reputation. This summer, we’re excited to offer an internship opportunity to a university student located near our Southern California headquarters or anywhere in the continental United States. What You’ll Do: Communications within the Public Affairs department is a broad and dynamic field with significant opportunity for impact across the organization. During the internship, you will focus on two primary projects, along with ongoing support of internal communications initiatives: Main Projects Monthly Engagement Kit Creation (Capstone Project) Lead the creation of a new digital content series on our intranet designed to support and inspire managers and provide an overview of what’s planned for the month. This project will include developing a content series aligned to company initiatives, key holidays and celebrations throughout the year, offering creative and inclusive ideas for how leaders can engage their teams and colleagues. This will require collaboration and partnership with other teams in the organization. The intern will have significant creative ownership—from concept development and storytelling to content production and toolkit design—culminating in a capstone deliverable that can be scaled across the organization. “Intern Diaries” Content Series Help create and execute our annual news series designed to highlight interns across the company. This initiative will spotlight intern experiences, highlight career pathways, and increase visibility of the intern community across the company. Responsibilities may include content planning, interviewing peers and leaders, writing articles, creating videos, and coordinating publication to drive engagement and awareness. Ongoing Internal Communications Support Internal Communications Execution & Support Assist with core internal communications activities such as developing PowerPoint decks for meetings, reviewing and editing documents, drafting announcements, and supporting enterprise messaging initiatives. This work provides exposure to executive communications and real-time organizational priorities. This internship offers hands-on experience in shaping internal narratives, strengthening employee engagement, and building communication strategies that support our People First culture.
