About The Position

We are hiring for a Graduate Environmental Scientist to join are team at Pennoni and contribute to EHS (Environmental, Health, & Safety) projects on a full-time, direct basis while based out of our office in the Haddon Heights, NJ area.  This person will be expected to prepare and submit environmental applications & reports. Primary Responsibilities: Conduct sampling and monitoring of groundwater, soil, & vapor; oversee installation of monitoring wells, soil borings, temporary well points, & soil gas points. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of Engineers, Scientists, Planners, and other professionals prepare ASTM Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Reports along with NJDEP Technical Reports. Plan / complete field work and sampling tasks for mapping & reporting purposes. There will be a mixture of field work and office work in this role. Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed. Basic Requirement: Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field of study); recent graduates are encouraged to apply! This person will be expected to work in the field so they will be required to possess a Valid Driver’s License and have a clean driving record. Preferred Qualifications: Exposure to environmental documentation & regulatory submissions associated with land development and infrastructure projects. A basic understanding of the NJDEP Site Remediation Program and purpose of environmental due diligence. Basic understanding of environmental fate and transport of contaminants. Proficiency on relevant technical tools (e.g.:  CADD, GIS mapping software, etc.); experience with AutoCAD and/or ArcGIS is a plus! Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments. Excellent communication skills (verbal & written). Requirements
