About The Position
Provide tutoring to PT 531 Gen Med under the Supervision of Dr. Patricia Brown.
Requirements
- Fully knowledgeable about the job
- Be able to handle responsibilities independently and effectively
- Possess undergraduate degree in similar and/or related field
Responsibilities
- Schedule and provide tutoring sessions
- Tutors may work around their own schedules but must notify tutees of their availability well in advance
- Tutors are expected to assist tutees with study strategies and approaches to learning and test taking, not just reiterate course content
- Tutors should work toward facilitating tutees’ understanding of key concepts, relationships, and clinical application, if appropriate
- Tutors are encouraged to work with tutees’ learning styles and to assist with critical thinking, problem-solving, and clinical reasoning, to the degree possible
- Tutees must abide by the applicable university student employment policies
