About The Position

In support of the Student Affairs Learning Outcomes, Fraternity and Sorority Life encourages students’ active participation in campus life, leadership roles, philanthropy, academic achievement, and service.

Requirements

  • Little to minimal prior experience.
  • Ability to learn support process.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Advise officers of either the Panhellenic Council, Interfraternity Council and/or Order of Omega as assigned by providing training and support to the Executive Officers and attending executive board meetings, council meetings, and council sponsored programs and events.
  • Along with professional staff, supervise and manage the Greek Leadership Assistant team
  • Along with the professional staff, identify training and development needs for the fraternity and sorority community and implement appropriate strategies to address those needs.
  • Attend weekly Greek Life Staff meetings and assist in development and coordination of Greek Life programs, learning outcomes and program assessments as assigned. Examples include but are not limited to: New Member Education Series, Fraternity & Sorority Recruitment, Greek Week, SKIT Night, Greek Awards and leadership retreats.
  • Ensure student staff and Fraternity/Sorority leaders’ thoroughness in navigating University resources, policies, and procedures, including those pertaining to event and facility scheduling, funding and financial procedures, contract and risk management procedures, and event publicity.
  • Assist with efforts to enhance organization membership recruitment through support during Orientation, Student Involvement Fair, other recruitment programs, and coaching of student organization leadership.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with campus partners from academic/administrative departments, Student Government Association, and Sodexo in support of the work of student organizations.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Participate in and contribute to Department of Student Engagement programs, services, experiences, and resources as determined by supervisor
