About The Position

Job Summary: The Graduate Assistant for Football will report to the Head Football Coach and is responsible for assisting in all phases of coaching an intercollegiate football team. This includes practice, recruiting, scouting, game management and promotions. The graduate assistant will also assist the Athletic Department with various other related facets including event management, special events, and other activities as appropriate. A Graduate Assistant will gain essential work and educational experience needed to obtain full-time employment in their chosen field. These tasks are to be performed in a manner that professionally, cordially, and efficiently assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Description of Job Duties: Assist with coaching a position group Recruiting a designated area Film breakdown and analysis Travel is required Other duties as assigned Terms of Employment: Employment at will Part-time, temporary Reports to Football Head Coach Safety and job-related trainings will be completed as instructed Eligible to receive a tuition waiver and stipend each semester A Graduate Assistant should be working at a level higher than an undergraduate student employee. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree completed
  • Admission to and enrolled in a Graduate Study degree program at SWOSU
  • Working in field of study
