Football Graduate Assistant: Defense
About The Position
Description Of Job Duties Including, but not limited to the following duties: Assisting in on-field coaching of players (position specific is negotiable) for both varsity and junior varsity games, practice planning and implementation, recruiting, scheduling and travel management; assisting in the academic progress and retention of student-athletes; engaging in fund raising; assisting with camps, clinics, and alumni functions. Candidates must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of NCAA , CCIW and NCC rules and regulations. Additional duties could be set according to the strengths of the GA and the needs of the football program.
Requirements
- Accepted into a graduate program at North Central College
- Experience playing or coaching football, or athletic administrative experience
- Current CPR / AED and First Aid certification, or eligibility to become current
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in college athletics strongly preferred
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record strongly preferred
