About The Position

The responsibilities include technical and administrative support at Faculty Senate meetings, creating and posting the monthly agenda and meeting minutes, creating and distributing the monthly Faculty Senate newsletter, maintaining the Faculty Senate website and other records, as well as other duties as assigned. These may include attending and taking minutes as needed at other meetings of the Executive Committee, research, and report writing. The successful candidate will have excellent writing, editing, and note-taking skills; will have experience with Excel, Teams, and WordPress; and will be able to be on campus, in the Faculty Senate office, for 20 hours per week to fulfill the above duties. GAs are required to work whenever the University is open regardless of whether or not classes are held. This includes Winter and Spring Break. Requirements

  • Acceptance into a graduate-level program at Seton Hall University
  • Understanding and willingness to support the Seton Hall University Catholic mission
  • Maintain 20-hour on-campus weekly work schedule. Specific schedule is coordinated with graduate assistant’s supervisor and is subject to change, with advance notice.
  • On occasion, participation in night and weekend activities may be required
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Proven research skills
  • Excellent writing, editing, and note-taking skills
  • Experience with Excel, Teams, and WordPress
  • Candidates must be flexible and be capable of multitasking on tight deadlines
  • Capable of managing projects independently
  • A self-starter who is deadline-driven
