About The Position

The Graduate Assistant provides clerical support for the Frederick campus. The GA reports to the Executive Assistant to the Associate Provost and is primarily responsible for coordination of the front desk, events and research projects. The GA will also be called upon to perform a wide variety of office tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be accepted into a graduate program at Mount St. Mary’s University.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Triage phone calls for staff at the Frederick campus and directs the caller to the correct person.
  • Provide clerical support including typing, organizing, filing, copying, and running errands on campus.
  • Conduct research as needed.
  • Works with our events coordinator scheduling outside/inside events on the Frederick campus. This includes set-up/tear-down of events, working with the contact person for each event to confirm logistics and working with catering needs.

Benefits

  • A stipend of $6000 per academic year.
  • 20 hours per week for 9 months (August - May)
