About The Position

LeoTerra Development is looking for a Grading Foreman to join our team. Committed to excellence and innovation. We are seeking an experienced and skilled Construction Grading Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in earthwork and grading, with demonstrated leadership abilities to oversee and coordinate grading operations on construction sites. As a Grading Foreman, you will be responsible for managing a team of workers, ensuring work is completed according to project specifications, schedules, and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction grading and earthwork operations.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting grading plans, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of grading equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet project deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, Equipment Operator Certification) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead grading crew members, including equipment operators and laborers.
  • Interpret grading plans, blueprints, and specifications to execute grading tasks accurately.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other trades to ensure seamless workflow and project progression.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, graders, and excavators as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work areas to identify hazards and maintain safety protocols.
  • Train and mentor crew members on proper grading techniques and equipment operation.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to procure necessary materials and equipment.
  • Keep detailed records of daily activities, including materials usage, equipment maintenance, and labor hours.
