Position Overview This is a management position requiring employee to supervise and coordinate activities of the Grading Crew.

Requirements

  • 3- 5 years’ experience in finish or fine grade operation with an excavator or related experience and training.
  • Ability to understand grade stakes.
  • Must be a reliable and trustworthy individual that will be a team player.
  • Must maintain good attendance and safety record.
  • Capability to read and understand project plans and specifications.
  • Must be productive during each shift and be willing to meet the goals that are set.
  • Valid Driver’s license required
  • Travel may be required

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating, planning, and supervising grading crews to ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Operating equipment to perform rough grade, slope work and other excavating operations.
  • Inspect equipment prior to use and at the end of shift.
  • Inform Superintendent of all construction needs (material, equipment, and staffing) in a timely manner to avoid delays.
  • Complete all paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Inspect all grading work throughout construction process to ensure it meets specifications.
  • The ability to operate other types of equipment is preferred.
  • Regular and timely attendance
  • Frontline safety responsibilities and management for the crew and jobsite
