About The Position

The Ministry Residency Program is a 12-month leadership development initiative. It is designed for those who have completed their college studies, or equivalency, and already have a sense of the calling/career path they want to pursue. The program is designed to be a bridge from college or secular career to ministry, giving residents invaluable ministry experience that will better prepare them for more permanent roles within the church. Within a specific area of ministry, residents will be given responsibilities comparable to that of a director. In addition, residents receive weekly leadership development training, ministry coaching, complete quarterly studies and lead ministry activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience and passion for church and the community
  • Motivated to learn and lead
  • Great relational skills: full of faith, friendly, calm, and professional
  • Exhibit a heart of passion, humility, and integrity
  • Accept and support the Grace Church Vision and Values
  • Exhibit a servant’s heart and willingness to get the job done well and on time
  • Ensure good stewardship of ministry funds and resources
  • Act as a positive representative of Grace Church at all times
  • Maintain complete confidentiality with all sensitive pieces of information
  • Communicate and present information to others in a clear, complete and concise way
  • Have a good sense of humor and ability to have fun while working hard as part of a team
  • Anticipate needs by understanding the expectations, previous history, and potential outcomes
  • Exhibit a heart of passion, humility, integrity
  • Maintain a positive attitude while being mission-driven

Responsibilities

  • With oversight, implement, and share the global Grace Student vision with the campus
  • Partner with surrounding schools to reach students for Christ
  • Join local youth ministry networks and engage and encourage students in their schools and activities
  • Lead and champion the effort to draw high school and middle school students to Jesus Christ
  • Recruit, train, evaluate, and recognize volunteers for Grace Students
  • Ensure that communication to students, volunteers, and parents is effective
  • Ensure implementation of the follow-up process for Grace Students and guests
  • Build and track annual Ministry Plan and Budget for Grace Students
  • Plan and execute campus-specific student events to engage students and their guests
  • Coordinate with Grace Kids to ensure a seamless transition of 5th graders into middle school
  • Cultivate a close daily walk and relationship with Christ
  • Participate and learn to develop and lead teams
  • Strengthen love for Student Ministry
  • Aide in the execution of all Wednesday night services
  • Recruit and develop adult leaders for Wednesday night services and High School Huddles
  • Lead and Serve in Grace FiftySix (G56)
