About The Position

This position will serve as an Instructional Design/Human Resource Intern for the Legal Division of the Indiana Department of Transportation. The Intern will be responsible for a variety of division projects and support. The objective of the position is to provide a valuable learning experience for the intern, as well as to assist the agency in completing their assignments and responsibilities.

Requirements

• Working towards a bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resource Development or related field
• Relevant work experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of the mission and role of INDOT
• Basic understanding of state policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
• Knowledge of state government structure, administrative procedures, and the legislative process
• Ability to research, draft, and edit data and reports
• Analytical skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects
• Ability to operate computer tools
• Good research and writing skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills suitable for a wide variety of contacts
• Confidence and ability to learn on the job and adapt quickly to changing circumstances
• Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing new requirements for constructability review after construction is finalized.
• Assist with updating professional services contract administration manual including reviewing existing codes and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Create Updated User guide for eInvoice (Internal and external) the existing user guide is very dated.
• Create Training for New Project managers (how to look up your contract, how to create a work order, how to see your PO status and PO balance).
• Data analysis of Past Performance impact on selections.
• Other duties as assigned
