About The Position

Working as Full-time Government Sales Specialist, you will focus on supporting and expanding State, Local, and Education (SLED) customers within an assigned book of business. This role emphasizes driving sales growth by building relationships with new and existing customers while selling through existing state and cooperative agreements.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or over, due to the nature of work
  • Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
  • Possess at least 1 year of related industry sales experience (MRO, Government, B2B)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
  • Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Willingness to travel (30% + with overnights required)

  • Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
  • Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

Nice To Haves

  • Possess a degree in Business, Marketing, Operations or a related field of study
  • Prior experience in key account sales
  • Prior experience working with SLED customers and basic understanding of their procurement process

Responsibilities

  • Generating new state, local, and education opportunities, as well as growing existing business
  • Developing and maintain relationships with the customers in your Book of Business
  • Providing monthly sales updates to internal stakeholders
  • Collaborating with National sales teams, local sales teams, and leadership on customer specific strategies
  • Managing the assigned "Book of Business"
  • Meeting and exceeding key performance metrics
  • Working with supplier partners to introduce new products and programs
  • Facilitating the establishment and execution of value generating programs
