About The Position

As a Government Operations Consultant II for the Office of Safe Schools (OSS), this position must handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting relating to the various subject matter areas within the OSS. It is a highly professional position responsible for performing highly technical, consultative, and administrative work. This position will collaborate with each section within the OSS and be required to use independent judgement, take initiative in carrying out duties and responsibilities and should be extraordinarily detail oriented.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of professional work experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products to include Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Answers incoming calls responding to inquires and directing calls to the appropriate individual is needed.
  • Assists in reviewing, tracking and coordinating responses to internal and external requests for information on Office of School Safety related issues. Assists in routing and tracking designated CorrFlow documents and correspondence to ensure responses are of high quality and submitted by established timelines.
  • Prepares and processes personnel related materials, always maintaining confidentiality.
  • Performs purchasing activities through MyFlorida Market Place.
  • Maintains the Executive Director’s calendar, schedules meetings as appropriate and compiles meeting materials.
  • Reviews all correspondence for Executive Director’s signature.
  • Makes travel arrangements for office staff and prepares travel itineraries and vouchers as needed.
  • Performs special assignments and research and report preparation related to the Office of Safe Schools.
  • Assists in conducting daily activities and/or directing special projects.
  • Performs related tasks as assigned.
