About The Position

The mission of the Government Operations Consultant II is to effectively manage the region's real property leases, ensuring all spaces meet our standards through regular inspections and prompt issue resolution. We strive to maintain clear communication with landlords and Central Office Leasing staff to address leasing concerns and space requirements. By handling local property issues and providing expert advice on space planning and relocations, we support the Regional Director and staff in creating a functional and efficient work environment. Additionally, we are committed to assisting Community Corrections staff and fulfilling other administrative responsibilities to uphold the overall mission of the Florida Department of Corrections. This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

Requirements

  • Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the region's real property lease program, including inspections and addressing issues with landlords.
  • Communicate with landlords and Central Office Leasing staff about leasing issues and space needs.
  • Handle local problems related to leased properties, such as janitorial and maintenance issues.
  • Advise the Regional Director and staff on space planning and relocation after renovations.
  • Assist Community Corrections staff and perform other administrative duties as needed.
