About The Position

This open competitive advertisement is for an OPS (Other Personal Services) position located at Central Office in Tallahassee, FL. This position is not a Telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.   JOB DUTIES: Assist with the data conversion process for the Florida PALM system. Collaborate with various areas to ensure accurate and efficient data migration. Assist with development and implementation conversion strategies, plans, and schedules. Monitor and report on the progress of the conversion process. Assist in identifying issues or discrepancies during the conversion. Assist with development of training and support to staff on the new system. Maintain detailed documentation of the conversion process. Prepares and submits required reports in a timely, accurate manner; provides additional documentation as required or requested. Work with management team, vendors, and other department staff to resolve invoice payment issues. Responds to inquiries for information or accounting data from staff, vendors, auditors, and other internal/external customers. Maintains minimum required Departmental annual training hours and attends sufficient additional training in all relevant areas of accounting and computer systems to remain current and efficient.

Requirements

  • Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Must be permitted to have access to Department Institution and FLAIR.
  • Must have two (2) years of experience in accounting, finance, or administrative work.
  • Postsecondary education may substitute required experience on a year-to-year basis.

  • Experience in data migration.
