About The Position

The Lincoln Center Internship Program is a paid, in-person arts administration internship designed for NYC-based undergraduate and graduate students seeking meaningful, real-world experience in the cultural sector. This program cultivates the next generation of leaders by offering hands-on work opportunities and access to professionals across the arts and culture field. Interns placed in the Government & Community Relations Department will support efforts that deepen connections with local communities and public officials across New York City. Interns gain access to: Meaningful in-person work experience in the arts and culture sector Professional development workshops focused on career readiness A vibrant community of peers and program alumni A Conversation Series featuring leaders across Lincoln Center Access to special events that reflect Lincoln Center's mission as the world's leading performing arts center

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in college (or equivalent experience) with a strong interest in working with youth, families, NYCHA residents, and grassroots organizations
  • Enthusiastic about community engagement, civic partnerships, or public service, with an interest in public programming or the nonprofit/cultural sector a plus
  • Based in New York City or the Greater NYC area
  • Available to work 20 hours per week from February-May 2026
  • Flexible and comfortable working some evenings or weekends when events occur
  • Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with new people
  • A strong team player who is also reliable and self-directed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Nice To Haves

  • Experienced with design tools such as Canva or similar platforms is a plus but not required
  • Bilingual in Spanish, Mandarin is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support event logistics for public programs and community events
  • Assist with data entry and performance reporting
  • Help prepare materials and provide general administrative support
  • Support relationship-building with community members, public housing residents, and neighborhood organizations
  • Gain exposure to government relations and civic engagement strategies
  • Contribute ideas and perspectives to fun, creative projects
