About The Position

The Government Analyst II is a highly responsible and professional position located within the Board of Medicine. This position provides high-level administrative support to the Executive Director and exercises independent judgment in completing duties and responsibilities. The incumbent independently assists in directing and coordinating the processing of licensing, pursuant to Chapter 458, F.S., and Rule 64B-4 Florida Administrative Code, of applicants for initial licensure. This includes evaluating and analyzing licensure applications by applying a logical understanding of business practices and regulatory procedures. The incumbent will work directly with applicants and licensees to provide regular updates and information on the status of their applications via phone and electronic communication. The Government Analyst II serves as the Board of Medicine’s Mobile Opportunity by Interstate Licensure Endorsement (MOBILE) Act pathway (s. 456.0145, F.S.) subject matter expert. This position is responsible for performing second-level reviews of advisement files for MOBILE applications and tracking these files while assisting with preparation of Credentials Committee meeting agendas and materials, including building the agendas in Agenda 2.0 for MOBILE applications requiring Committee review. Responsible for preparing legal notices of Committee meetings to applicants in advance of scheduled meetings.
