About The Position

As a Gourmet Food Runner at Michael Mina, you will be instrumental in providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring every aspect of their dining experience is remarkable. Your primary responsibilities will include delivering customer orders, maintaining tables, and striving to exceed guest satisfaction with each interaction. Your role also encompasses general cleaning and side duties, helping to create a seamless and enjoyable atmosphere that reflects Chef Michael Mina's renowned culinary artistry.

Requirements

• 2+ years of previous experience as a food runner or server in a fine dining restaurant preferred
• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a warm and relevant greeting, utilize your knowledge of menu, guest preference, service and selling techniques to guide selections
• Knowledgeable of all menu items, prices, preparation method and time, major ingredients and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish and method of presentation
• Be familiar with all hotel services, features and local attractions and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
• Maintain table cleanliness and utilize a silent service approach
• Itemize bill correctly and efficiently secure payment
• Anticipate the guests’ needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency
• Work as a team, assist guest and employee needs and inquiries
• Successful completion of Restaurant Training Program and testing is required
• Perform other job-related duties as requested
