About The Position
As a Gourmet Food Runner at Yellowtail, you will be an essential part of delivering an exceptional dining experience in a setting that celebrates the artistry of traditional and contemporary Japanese cuisine, infused with a hint of Korean essence. Your primary responsibility will be to provide outstanding service as you deliver customer orders, maintain tables, and create memorable moments that exceed guest satisfaction. You’ll play a key role in bringing our innovative menu to life, which boasts seasonal fish and premium ingredients flown in daily from the finest markets around the world. As you navigate our vibrant space, you’ll also take on general cleaning and side duties, ensuring that everything runs smoothly, and our guests feel valued at every touchpoint.
Requirements
- 4+ years of previous experience working in a similar gourmet restaurant
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a warm and relevant greeting, utilize your knowledge of menu, guest preference, service and selling techniques to guide selections
- Knowledgeable of all menu items, prices, preparation method and time, major ingredients and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish and method of presentation
- Be familiar with all hotel services, features and local attractions and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
- Maintain table cleanliness and utilize a silent service approach
- Itemize bill correctly and efficiently secure payment
- Anticipate the guests’ needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency
- Work as a team, assist guest and employee needs and inquiries
- Successful completion of Restaurant Training Program and testing is required
