About The Position

The Gourmet Coffee Attendant Barista is responsible for completing opening and closing duties, setting up and maintaining work areas, processing customer orders and payments, and preparing food and coffee beverages. This role involves ensuring appliances are operated correctly, maintaining cleanliness of the coffee cart areas, tables, dishes, and equipment, and managing cash transactions. The attendant must adhere to all company safety and security policies, report unsafe conditions, and complete required training. Key aspects of the role include maintaining a professional appearance, protecting company assets, and providing excellent guest service by welcoming and acknowledging guests, anticipating their needs, assisting those with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation. The position requires clear and professional communication, fostering positive working relationships, and supporting team goals to ensure quality standards are met. Responsibilities

  • Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc.
  • Set up, stock, and maintain work areas.
  • Input orders into cash register system and collect payment from customer.
  • Take orders, record in MICROS system and prepare food and coffee beverages.
  • Ensure that appliances (e.g., coffee makers) are turned on/off at the appropriate times.
  • Bus coffee cart areas and tables.
  • Clean dishes, utensils, work areas, tables and equipment throughout the day.
  • Obtain change required for expected business level.
  • Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
  • Complete safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
  • Anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
  • Assist individuals with disabilities.
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.

  • Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
