About The Position

The Google Ads Major Accounts Manager is responsible for managing & optimizing all campaigns within Google Ads accounts for “major” clients. These accounts/groups are Google Ads budgets of at least $50,000/month that are high touch/high profile. This person is also heavily involved in training new team members, implementing new team projects, and helps to spearhead continued optimization. Overview: Daily Google Ads account management: Budget pacing/ordering, strategy optimization, new tech implementation, request management, making adjustments as directed by client or Account Team Main point of contact for communication regarding all assigned clients on Google Ads questions Works directly with AT on strategy changes and optimizations for assigned and prospective clients & can participate in client meetings Advanced knowledge of all Google Ads campaign types (PMAX, Search, Video, YouTube Select, Demand Gen) and functional knowledge of Google Analytics reporting Google Ads certifications renewed annually: GA4, Google Search, Video & Shopping Advertising Assists team lead in new account build/audit assignments Oversees launch of new Google Ads accounts to ensure successful startup: 30-60 day quality control checks for new accounts Attends bi-weekly Google strategy calls Completes new account pitches as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising, or a related field preferred. Equivalent hands-on experience managing high-budget digital advertising accounts will be considered.
  • 4+ years of experience managing Google Ads campaigns, with direct ownership of high-budget accounts ($50,000+/month preferred).
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Ads campaign types, including PMAX, Search, Video, YouTube, and Demand Gen.
  • Experience managing campaign budgets, pacing, and performance optimization at scale.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute paid media strategies that drive measurable results.
  • Google Ads certifications required (Search, Video, Shopping, GA4), with commitment to maintain annually.
  • Experience supporting new account builds, audits, and launches.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain strategy, performance, and recommendations to both internal teams and clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority accounts and requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to train or mentor team members and contribute to team development.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accountable for performance outcomes.

Responsibilities
