About The Position

United Ag & Turf is a John Deere Dealership with multiple locations across Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arkansas and Colorado. United Ag & Turf serves customers in a variety of industries such as commercial, construction, agricultural, golf & sports turf, as well as consumers. United Ag & Turf strives for exceptional customer experience throughout all our locations and departments including parts, sales, service, and transportation. Golf & Sports Turf Sales Representatives sells new and used golf and sports turf equipment to new and existing customers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • Valid Driver’s license required.
  • Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
  • Ability to assemble machinery components and to follow manufacturer’s pre-delivery instructions.
  • Ability to operate vehicles, tools and equipment used in machinery pre-delivery and set-up process.
  • Fundamental level of knowledge of engines, hydraulics, power-trans, air-conditioning and electrical systems as they apply to machines marketed by United Ag & Turf.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Represents the company for the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales territory.
  • Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership.
  • Monitors competitive activity/products and timely communications to management.
  • Maintains all customer information in assigned territory for sales management.
  • Knows and follows a defined sales process.
  • Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events.
  • Conducts new equipment field demonstrations.
  • Monitors trends in customers’ business activities and timely communications to management.
  • Maintains a current knowledge of basic lease and financing strategies to assist customers with securing the equipment needed to maintain their facility in the most efficient manner.
  • Attends applicable sales training events/seminars.
  • Maintain current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly.
