The City of Steamboat Springs is pleased to announce a job opening in our Parks & Recreation Department as a Golf Shop Assistant. Pay Range: $20.85 - 25.34 Summary: Serves as an ambassador of the City of Steamboat Springs and upholds City values of Service, Teamwork, Integrity, Well-being, Respect and Compassion, while always espousing safety. Strong organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills are key attributes to this position. Individual will be working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of responsibilities including work with point of sale and reservation systems. Retail or golf background is strongly preferred, but not required.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Must be a highly organized individual
- Experience in the golf industry preferred
Nice To Haves
- PGA certification is a plus, not required
Responsibilities
- Assist guests with check in process, booking tee times, and any retail questions.
- Assist in receiving stock merchandise using Club Prophet POS system.
- Assist in monthly inventories along with assistance from professional staff.
- Have a working knowledge of golf operations rules and procedures (i.e. tee times, pace of play, etc).
- Assist Head Golf Professional with miscellaneous tasks on a daily basis.
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of running the golf shop.
- May be asked to assist with junior golf clinics from time to time
