About The Position

This is a seasonal position with variable hours up to 40 per week, depending on department need. The City of Steamboat Springs is seeking a Seasonal Golf Shop Assistant for its Parks & Recreation Department. Requirements

Strong organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills are key attributes to this position.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of responsibilities including work with point of sale and reservation systems.
Must be a highly organized individual

Nice To Haves

Retail or golf background is strongly preferred, but not required.
High School diploma or GED preferred
PGA certification is a plus, not required
Experience in the golf industry preferred

Responsibilities

Assist guests with check in process, booking tee times, and any retail questions.
Assist in receiving stock merchandise using Club Prophet POS system.
Assist in monthly inventories along with assistance from professional staff.
Have a working knowledge of golf operations rules and procedures (i.e. tee times, pace of play, etc).
Assist Head Golf Professional with miscellaneous tasks on a daily basis.
Assist in the day-to-day operations of running the golf shop.
May be asked to assist with junior golf clinics from time to time
