About The Position

The Golf Shop Assistant 1 is responsible for assisting in the daily operations and maintenance of the Golf Shop while ensuring all golfers and guests have an enjoyable experience. This is a temporary seasonal full time position that will end mid October.

Requirements

  • Minimum age requirement for this position is 18 years old.
  • Possess or obtain a Food Handlers Card within 30 days of employment.
  • Must have an OLCC Permit at the time of hire.
  • General understanding of computer programs, including all windows applications required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing or by other acceptable means.
  • Comply with pre-employment, random and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.
  • Availability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays based on the needs of the department and for special casino events.
  • Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
  • Must be able to carry, reach, twist, bend and squat frequently.
  • Must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Meets and greets golfers and guests in a friendly, courteous and professional manner providing assistance and advice as needed.
  • Explains golf products and promotions while remaining knowledgeable on Three Rivers Casino and Resort offerings and promotions off property.
  • Verifies golfers and guests are aware of applicable golf course rules, regulations and policies in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Administers point of sales transactions and maintains the day-to-day golf reservation systems by answering phones, reserving tee times and lessons, checking in customers, and receiving payments.
  • Ensures the Golf Shop is clean, organized and stocked with merchandise, updating management on any inventory needs.
  • Supports the set up and organization of tournaments and other events held at the Golf Course.
  • Provides food and beverage services by prepping and serving as orders are received.
  • Maintains the food and beverage area monitoring cleanliness, organization, inventory and supplies, informing management of inventory deficiencies.
  • Assists in golf course maintenance; raking bunkers, brush hauling, weed eating and other duties outside of the Golf Shop as directed by management.
  • Monitors the cleanliness, condition and storage of the Golf Cart fleet.
  • Completes janitorial responsibilities as needed in the absences of the Golf EVS Tech.
  • Other duties as directed by management.
