This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Troubadour Golf & Field Club, set outside of Nashville, TN. Troubadour Golf & Field Club is seeking a Golf Services Intern to join the Club Operations Department. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the fields of internship.
  • Ability to work up to 20 hours per week.
  • Must be in their junior or senior year of studies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly motivated with a desire to learn.
  • Ability to work alone and in a team focused atmosphere.
  • Proficiency MS Office Programs.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Must conduct business in a professional and ethical manner with all team members, potential buyers, external business associates and coworkers to reinforce goodwill and profitability for the company.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and a shift greater than eight (8) hours in length.

Responsibilities

  • Assist members and guests with golf needs
  • Provide stellar service for all Troubadour attendees.
  • Direct membership and guests to golf services.
  • Assist with coaching and training at practice facility.
  • Customer service assistance in the golf shop, including point-of-sale purchases.
  • Adhere to the Troubadour standard of service, respect, and care.
