About The Position

As a Golf Pro Shop Attendant at Nemacolin, you will be responsible for answering incoming phone calls in the Pro Shop, greeting guests and answering questions that they may have, and assisting with duties in the sales within the Pro Shop.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required. College degree preferred.
  • Must be friendly, outgoing, responsible, and must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to stand/sit up to 8 hours at a time.
  • Must be able to speak the English language fluently.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to learn HOST and Infogenesis systems.
  • Ability to speak professionally to guests, around guests and likewise with all departments at the resort.
  • Able to be culturally sensitive and effective in a multicultural setting.
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts and hours – including holidays, weekends, evenings, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree preferred.
  • Experience in retail is preferred, not required to be in golf.
  • PGA affiliation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Answer all incoming calls with the proper phone greeting, answer any questions, and reserve tee times using Host software.
  • Maintain knowledge of available merchandise, golf course conditions, rates, and hours of operation for each outlet.
  • Communicate with golf outside staff and turfgrass staff professionally and clearly using a two-way handheld radio.
  • Communicate effectively with all other departments throughout the resort.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the Golf Shop. Daily vacuuming, folding apparel, and organizing displays.
  • Accurately charge each individual on the tee sheet for golf green fees and retail through Agilysys POS.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
