About The Position

Pleasantly greet every guest who enters the Golf Pro Shop; assist all customers with merchandise selection and check out transactions; handle all monetary transactions; answer the phone quickly and books tee times; maintain neat, clean and organized workspace; assist with merchandising and monthly inventory; must be friendly and enthusiastic and demonstrate outstanding customer service to both annual passholders and guests. Assist the cart staff during busy times.

Requirements

  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills
  • Must have knowledge of the game of golf
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Must display a professional appearance as outlined in the Audubon Handbook
  • Must be able to work independently and function as a member of the team
  • Must have a high school diploma
  • Must be able to frequently stand, walk or sit for long periods of time
  • Must be able to frequently climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach
  • Must have close visual acuity in order to operate equipment
  • Must be able to work outdoors under conditions ranging from extreme hot to extreme cold
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and frequently up to 20 lbs using proper lifting techniques

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working at a golf facility
  • Previous experience working in a setting that requires strong customer service
  • Previous experience working in a retail setting
  • Ability to play the game

Responsibilities

  • Greet and enthusiastically provide each customer with the course conditions, directions, and any other pertinent information
  • Responsible for making tee times and processing all retail and fees sales utilizing the POS
  • Ensures the Pro Shop and equipment are clean and in working order daily
  • Coordinate displays, folds and straightens merchandise, and oversees Pro Shop cleaning
  • Opens or closes the Pro Shop according to the procedures established by the Director of Golf
  • Assists in the coordination and services for tournaments and other special events
  • Communicate and enforce course rules including dress code and cart policies
  • Perform light custodial operations such as sweeping, mopping, and collecting trash as needed
  • Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner and encourages others to do the same
  • Responsible for assisting the Professional Staff in all aspects of Pro Shop operations, including administrative duties, guest service and maximizing merchandise displays
  • Maintain a positive attitude and a strong sense of accountability, fostering a collaborative team environment where everyone feels empowered to contribute.
