Job Summary The hotel driver's main responsibility is to shuttle guests between the hotel and the Golf Course. The driver must greet all guests when they enter the vehicle. The team member is responsible for transporting guests to any destination in accordance with hotel policies and rules. The driver is responsible for the vehicle and ensures that maintenance is regularly performed. In addition, the driver must report all accidents, injuries, unsafe working conditions and damage to hotel vehicles and related property. Drivers may be required to lift items up to 50 lbs. into the vehicle and unload them at the hotel. The employee is responsible for fueling the vehicle. Essential Functions Greets passengers and provides assistance with baggage loading and unloading. Operates the passenger van in a safe and efficient manner and complies with all traffic and safety regulations. Monitors vehicle condition and records malfunctioning items or damage on appropriate forms. Conducts pre/post trip inspections of the shuttle buses at the beginning and end of shift to ensure sound operating conditions. Monitors traffic and weather conditions and notifies dispatch or supervisor of potential problems. Reports accidents or other safety situations to dispatch or supervisor. Accurately completes driver trip sheet for each shift with correct information. Treats all guests in a courteous, friendly and professional manner. Job Requirements High school degree or GED equivalent. Experience driving shuttle bus or commercial vehicles preferred. Must possess a valid Driver’s License. Must be 21 years of age with a clean driving record. Must be able to pass DOT physical exam and must undergo criminal records check. Ability to operate a passenger van safely and efficiently. Ability to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, in all weather conditions. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment depending upon guest volume, shift, season, etc. Possess positive and professional attitude with strong communication skills. Must have good corrected vision and hearing. Must have dexterous use of both hands. Personality Requirements Possess a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
