About The Position

Join Our Team as a Golf Program Coordinator – Lead, Inspire, and Make an Impact! Are you passionate about golf and community engagement? Do you have a knack for leadership and love empowering others? If so, we’ve got the perfect opportunity for you! We’re looking for a dynamic Golf Coordinator to help lead a team, manage exciting golf programs, and make a difference in the lives of others! In this role, you’ll not only share your golf expertise, but also take charge of supervising program participants, managing staff, and ensuring that everyone stays safe and engaged. You’ll be the go-to leader for training and guiding other staff members, while also playing a key role in responding to any emergencies that may arise. Whether it’s teaching golf etiquette, demonstrating proper skills, or fostering a sense of community, this position puts you at the heart of our mission to deliver an outstanding experience for all!

Requirements

  • Must have knowledge of teaching golf skills, rules, and etiquette.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, curriculum, policy/procedure manuals, and financial documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from members and non-members of the YMCA.
  • Ability to verbally communicate effective instructions to program participants and other staff members.
  • CPR/AED/First Aid for infant, child and adult, Blood borne Pathogens, and other training as assigned.
  • Must have competence on a computer and in communication via email and phone.
  • Must be able to operate and maintain lawn equipment and golf carts.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific hearing and vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred 1-3 years of supervisory experience.
  • First Tee Assistant Coach and/or First Tee Level One Coaching certifications are highly desired and encouraged to be acquired within the first 6 months of employment.
