GENERAL INFORMATION POSITION TITLE: Golf Course Maintenance / Turf Care Technician LOCATION: Wilmington, NC- Country Club of Landfall JOB TYPE: Full-Time CCL AT A GLANCE The Country Club of Landfall is a private club located near Wrightsville Beach in Wilmington, NC. The membership invests heavily in their golfing experience and places a high demand on course conditioning whether it be for tournaments or daily play. The ideal candidate will possess a can-do attitude, be energetic, and unhesitatingly embrace teamwork mentality. He or she will also be highly motivated, detail-oriented, passionate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced work environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Member/Guest satisfaction oriented with ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
• Requires walking and standing for long periods of time.
• The duration of time will vary depending on the specific task being accomplished
• Must be able to exert and lift more than 50 pounds
• Must be able to work in varying temperatures and inclement weather
• Early mornings, weekends, and holidays are requirements of this role

Nice To Haves

• Previous work experience in the golf course maintenance industry is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Turf Care: mowing (greens, tees, fairways, roughs) , trimming, watering, fertilizing, aerating, drainage, and sodding
• Bunker Maintenance: raking, edging, rototilling, plate tamping, addition of sand, sand depth inspections, sand redistribution
• Course Setup: changing hole locations, setting tee markers, filling ball washers, repairing divots, and cleaning debris
• Equipment Operation: safely operating mowers (riding/walking) , blowers, string trimmers, utility vehicles, and chainsaws
• General Maintenance: trimming trees/bushes, cleaning facilities, collecting litter, and basic irrigation system upkeep
• Equipment Care: fueling, cleaning, performing basic maintenance, and reporting equipment issues
• Safety & Compliance: following safety protocols, applying chemicals (as directed) , and maintaining records
• performing other tasks as needed or as directed
