This is an on-call position, which means it is a part-time, hourly role. This position will work an estimated 16 hours per week to no more than 39 hours per week, dependent on the needs of each course and the employee’s availability. This is typically a seasonal position. On‐call positions may have routine or variable work schedules. The pay for this position is $20.06/hour. This position is not eligible for benefits. Location The Denver Municipal Golf Courses are open for play year-round (weather permitting) from daylight until dark, and the golf pro shops are open 364 days a year. In this position, you can expect to work on site at Harvard Gulch Golf Course (660 E. Iliff Ave.) but may travel to one of the locations listed below: Aqua Golf (501 W. Florida) City Park Golf Course (3181 E. 23rd Ave.) Evergreen Golf Course (29614 Upper Bear Creek Rd.) Kennedy Golf Course (10500 E. Hampden Ave.) Overland Park Golf Course (1801 S. Huron St.) Wellshire Golf Course (3333 S. Colorado Blvd.) Willis Case Golf Course (4999 Vrain St.) Who We Are & What You’ll Do With eight golf facilities, Denver Golf, part of the City and County of Denver’s Department of Parks and Recreation, has something for everyone! Requirements
- Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.
- Experience Requirement: One (1) year of work experience performing cultivation and care of flowers and plants.
- Education/Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
- License/Certifications: none
- Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities
- Perform care and maintenance of existing golf course landscapes
- Weed, trim, plant, and mulch golf course landscapes
- Assist with golf course operations such as mowing and aerating
- Load and unload equipment and supplies, clean and care for basic tools and equipment
- Assist with the repair of water line breaks, cut and lay sod, maintain irrigation systems
- Assist with horticultural tasks and cultivate gardens’ aesthetic
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
