About The Position

The Student Worker Golf Cart Driver supports Grand Canyon University’s Fleet & Transportation Department by providing safe, reliable, and courteous transportation services across campus. This role plays a key part in daily campus operations, special events, tours, and departmental support while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and safety.

Requirements

• Must have valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Outgoing personality, strong communication & critical thinking skills
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift equipment weighing up to 30 pounds
• Must have good night vision as events will be conducted after sun-down

Nice To Haves

• Experience driving golf carts is desired but not required
• Flexible Schedule
• Driving for Campus Events

Responsibilities

• Safely operate GCU golf carts to transport students, staff, faculty, and guests across campus
• Follow all GCU transportation policies, traffic laws, and campus safety procedures
• Provide friendly, professional customer service to all passengers
• Assist with campus tours, events, and special transportation requests as assigned
• Perform basic pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues or maintenance needs
• Communicate clearly with Fleet supervisors and dispatch regarding assignments and schedule changes
• Maintain punctuality and reliability for all scheduled shifts
• Uphold GCU’s mission, values, and professionalism standards at all times
• Other duties as assigned
