About The Position
Provide bag, golf car and range services to members and guests.
Requirements
- Minimum High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Knowledgeable about the game of golf and its rules.
- Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations.
- Valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Brings golf carts from car shelter to car staging area outside Golf Pro Shop; checks golf carts for tire pressure, brake operation and other safety considerations.
- Loads bags from bag storage room onto golf carts.
- Greets members by name as they arrive and assists them with their bags by removing from their car, if applicable, and loading them onto golf carts.
- Transports range balls to each end of range and fills appropriate containers.
- Places baskets of balls at evenly spaced intervals on range.
- Operates tractor and ball picker on range to retrieve balls.
- Washes all range balls daily.
- Removes bags from golf carts and returns bags to assigned rack in bag storage room.
- Returns golf carts to car shelter; removes towels, pencils, score cards, tees, drink cans, etc., from golf carts and saves reusable items; checks carts for damage; washes golf car with pressure cleaner; parks car in shelter and connects charger cable.
- Advises Pro Shop of clubs found on the course and destined for the lost and found.
- Cleans all clubs for members and guests; cleans and maintains the club’s rental equipment.
- Maintains cleanliness of and order in Bag Storage Room.
- Attends staff meetings.
- Performs other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Assistant Golf Professional.
