About The Position

The GMD Facilities Task Order Lead supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will: Be responsible for day-to-day operations of the Schriever SFB site team providing sustainment and engineering support to a Missile Defense Agency (MDA) operational customer. Ensure successful execution of Task Order scope, to include sustainment activities and engineering projects necessary to meet contractual and customer requirements. Detail plan and execute the integrated schedule and associated budget in accordance with Earned Value Management (EVM) direction and best practices, with Control Account Management (CAM) responsibilities for the site account in coordination with the customer and product delivery team, aid in prioritizing efforts to meet customer requirements based on budgetary and resource constraints. Serve as primary interface between contract and local government customers/leadership. Serve as the Voice of the Customer (VOC) in contract and organizational discussion. Coordinate, manage, development, implement and sustain activities among several internal and external organizations to ensure minimal disruption to operational customer base. Build, develop and grow any business relationships vital to the success of task order execution. Be responsible for team management functions, to include time card approvals, hiring, and performance management. Develop presentations and brief stakeholders as required to ensure clear and concise messaging throughout the communications cycle. Execute issue resolution and stakeholder management activities as necessary to maintain business relationships; setnand continually manage expectations with team members and stakeholders. Understand and communicate correct process and procedures for gaining support from individuals and teams outside the organization and the contract in order to support customer requirements. The successful candidate will: Be able to work independently in customer dynamic environments to solve complex problems with minimal supervision. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Have demonstrated experience at presentation development and delivery to senior leadership. Requirements

  • Must have 12, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience
  • May be reduced with completion of advanced education
  • Must have 5, or more, years of direct facilities experience
  • Must have 1, or more, years of experience working in a management or leadership role
  • Must have experience of planning and managing complex resources against constraints
  • Must have experience with use of MS Office applications, as well as Project and Visio
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Have experience with strategic and theater missile defense weapon systems, sensor systems, and/or DoD communications systems
  • Have experience successfully interfacing with government customers and senior leaders
  • Have a demonstrated understanding of the traditional Project Management Lifecycle, to include stakeholder management, and the Systems Engineering lifecycle
  • Have demonstrated experience in Earned Value Management and/or Control Account Management functions
  • Have an active Project Management Institute (PMI) certification
