These technologies include laparoscopic and open staplers that are used in the most complex surgical oncology procedures, ligation devices that clamp vessels to prevent bleeding, and other endoscopic instruments that are used to manipulate tissue. Endocutters, or laparoscopic staplers, are highly sophisticated, critical instruments that transect and flawlessly seal tissue with precisely placed staples to prevent leaks (GI and air) and bleeding.
