About The Position

Within Global Partnerships, the Strategic Alliances team has a unique mandate, focused on a short list of Google’s largest and most complex partners. The team is responsible for understanding both the partners and Google’s strategic priorities, and developing cross-functional plans to ensure optimal outcomes. Google’s relationships with global strategic alliances are increasingly complex as they evolve to include multiple partnership, policy, engaged, and other business dimensions. The Strategic Alliances team works internally across all the business and functional teams that interface with Google’s most complex partners to help shape a cohesive cross-product area engagement strategy for Google. As a Global Top Partner Manager, you will lead the cross-Google strategy for one or more strategic partners in the semiconductor or AI industry. You will combine your subject matter expertise with your critical thinking, problem-solving abilities and influencing skills to provide insightful and actionable recommendations to our business and product teams, and executives to develop strategies to ensure Google’s success in an increasingly engaged landscape. The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the electronics, OEMs, telecom, apps, or technology industries.
  • Experience in managing agreements or partnerships.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or other advanced degree.
  • 3 years of experience in semiconductor industry.
  • Experience in managing complex, end-to-end partnerships.
  • Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with partners.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Orchestrate partnership strategy for a set of semiconductor partners internally across business development, product, legal, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Drive cross-Google alignment to ensure fluid communication and successful landing of multi-faceted initiatives.
  • Provide strategic input on new partnership opportunities, agreement negotiations, market announcements, and executive decision-making.
  • Drive consensus on partnership outcomes that balance value and risk.
  • Manage escalations and recommend risk mitigation paths, consulting with business development, legal, competition, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment around executive communications and risk mitigation and develop compelling engagement strategies and briefings for Google’s executives.
  • Gather data from internal and external sources to become a recognized expert on specific companies in the semiconductor industry to inform analyses on the potential impact to Google’s business or strategic approach.
  • Lead special projects that address cross-cutting issues and opportunities impacting semiconductors globally.
