About The Position

The Mars In-house Consulting team is a newly established group that will tackle difficult business challenges across the entire Mars Global Snacking business. We are looking for experienced management consultants to join our team at the Sr. Manager level. Qualified individuals will play a critical role in managing project work and a team of consultants to bring forward-thinking solutions to Mars Snacking. Ideal candidates will have previously led management consulting teams at a top-tier firm and demonstrated leadership in developing people, relationships and knowledge. What are we looking for? Bachelor or higher degrees in Engineering, Finance or MBA - MBA preferred Track record of successfully managing complex consulting projects. Ability to manage and coach consulting teams of 2 or more consultants while also juggling diverse set of stakeholders with conflicting incentives Strong people developer investing time in each team member to help them grow Track record of collaboration with senior executives - must be comfortable and experienced in delivering formal presentations to senior leaders Strong analytical skills and a high capacity for conceptual thinking. Ability to develop leading edge business models, frameworks for analysis, and long-term business strategies. Must be able to thrive in a hypothesis-based environment where inductive rather than deductive reasoning is the norm Proven ability to manage client relationships, and build strong relationships within large multinationals as well as identifying opportunities to deepen those relationships Well-developed business judgment. Ability to understand financial and non-financial aspects of a problem and use sound business judgment to recommend actions Experience within fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) is a plus but not required What will be your key responsibilities? The Sr. Manager plays the most critical role on a project team and oversees all activities to ensure the project is on track and deliverables met You need to define the key questions that needs to be answered, develop a plan for how to tackle those questions, and execute against the plan You are responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of consultants which includes scoping their tasks, pressure-testing work and coaching them to improve You oversee the formulation of hypotheses for research and investigation, and guide your team on complicated analyses of Mars, competitors, and the industry With support from your team, you will summarize your key findings and conclusions in a presentation and present it to Mars leadership What can you expect from Mars? The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment. Requirements

  • Bachelor or higher degrees in Engineering, Finance or MBA
