About The Position

The Global Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing the sourcing strategies for the Professional Services category. The person in this position would be recognized as the sourcing expert for Professional Services categories, would liaison with legal, act as Procurement ambassador to the business and partner closely with stakeholders to ensure strong alignment with business objectives and a deep understanding of strategic priorities. The Global Strategic Sourcing Manager integrates closely with the business to co‑develop and execute strategic initiatives, drives improvements in key metrics such as cost, quality, deliverables and cycle-time and negotiation strategies serving as a trusted, value‑added sourcing partner, advising requestors on contract terms and conditions, monitoring contract cost, scope, and performance to ensure compliance, best value and continuous pricing validation and improvement. The Global Strategic Sourcing Manager will recommend cost savings proposals including alternative sourcing and will exercise independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. The position requires knowledge and experience in managing Professional services but not limited to HR Services, Call centers, top finance firms, tax and payroll services, management and consulting services, quality and audit, recruiting agencies and more. The Strategic Sourcing Manager ensures business stakeholders are effectively supported in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within and across teams. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex issues. Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 7+ of experience in indirect strategic sourcing with a multi-national organization with an emphasis Professional Services
  • Contract Negotiation / Vendor Mgmt. / Influencing skills required
  • Experience and expertise with sourcing & contracting ERP tools (SAP and/or Oracle)
  • Ability to work well in a high-pace dynamic environment, handle multiple projects simultaneously and ensure task completion and deadlines are met as required
  • Demonstrated skills in negotiating and formulating technology contracts, understanding cost models and various price structures and management of contractual
  • Strong project management, organizational and analytical skills required
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent team facilitation, mentoring and presentation skills
  • Ability to present to all levels of management / stakeholders and articulate strategies and performance metrics
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sourcing: Conduct market and supplier analyses, leveraging category expertise to develop sourcing strategies aligned with market trends, roadmaps and business objectives
  • Develop along with the stakeholders and implement a comprehensive sourcing strategy
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess and understand their needs, requirements and project timelines
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify, evaluate and qualify new and existing suppliers; advise requestors with respect to contract terms and conditions
  • Conduct RFX and lead cross functional teams through supplier selection with effective scoring criteria to critically evaluate supplier proposals in accordance with company policies
  • Working closely with stakeholders to establish and execute a sourcing strategy, including should-cost models and process change levers, while developing negotiation plans and strategies to optimize cost savings, cost avoidance, and overall value
  • Lead negotiations for Master Agreements, Statements of Work, Change Orders, Order Form balancing business deliverables, legal interests and pricing
  • Supplier Management: Manage supplier relationships with focus on supply/contract and cost management
  • Mediate supplier issues and resolve customer / supplier contract disputes if necessary
  • Lead and participate in periodic business reviews with vendors to review performance and support mutually agreed upon improvement programs as required
  • Develop supplier rationalization entitlements for each category
  • Perform should-cost analysis for major services and spend areas and implement cost reduction initiatives
  • Lead and support implementation of best-in-class practices and continuous improvement of systems and processes
