Based in our Austin, Texas location, you will play a vital role in upholding our team’s mission to enable the Emerson local field service organization to drive Guardian Software and Solutions business through best-in-class delivery of core services, leadership in technical expertise, and ability to serve global business processes. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Be accountable for overall project performance, including scope, deliverables, schedule, quality, progress, financial targets, and forecasting Directly engage with Emerson local offices, impact partners and end-user customers, with wide organizational impact and visibility Organize and participate in meetings with customers and project team members and ensure timely communications Coordinate and direct highly qualified professional personnel involved in service projects to drive successful project completion Interface with project controls team for project planning, scheduling, billing, budget monitoring, and resource assignment activities Collaborate closely with the Product Support management team to identify resources matched to the service skill requirements Plan multiple customer service projects with varying complexity while maintaining solid customer relationships Ensure Emerson's commitments to customers are met, in accordance with contract, and seek to improve customer satisfaction through resolution to problems with speed and professionalism and consistent customer interaction Work with the Sales, Service, and Projects team from different Emerson local offices to define technical scope, requirements, project targets, expectations, and commitments for pursuits Drive project pursuits of varying complexity to achieve targets for the team Identify risks involved in projects and pursuit activities and put forth risk mitigation plans Initiate and drive changes in current company and/or Global Strategic Services processes for continuous improvement and continued operational sustainability Who You Are: You pursue everything with energy, drive, and a sense of urgency. For This Role, You Will Need: BS in Engineering or other technical degrees with the appropriate experience At least 5 years of experience working in a service/project organization interacting with process industry customers and different levels within the organization Knowledge and experience in project management for engineering, servicing and/or operating control systems in plants Must be a creative problem solver and have excellent written and oral English communication skills Demonstrate ability to effectively prioritize, adapting to unforeseen changes, and execute in a high-pressure environment Demonstrate ability to establish effective relationships with customers, business partners and internal organizations to deliver successful services Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this position Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: MS in Engineering PMP Certified Plant experience as first-hand appreciation for onsite service activities, particularly in Oil and Gas, Chemical, Refining, Pharmaceutical or other fluid process control industries Experience with a Business Partner/Field Service Organization relationship is strongly preferred Our Culture & Commitment to You: At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
