About The Position

Develop and implement global sourcing strategies and manage supplier relationships, performance measurement and improvement for electrical and electronic commodities. Develop and lead supplier selection process (including RFI/RFQ/RFP) for new electrical component suppliers. Negotiate and manage service costs, including NRE, associated with new product introduction. Negotiate assurance of supply, lead time commitments, and cost competitiveness with suppliers. Partner with internal Engineering, Product Management, Quality, and Manufacturing Operations teams to develop improvement plans and drive improvements throughout the product life cycle. Establish end-to-end partner performance measurements and scorecards and hold suppliers accountable to continually improve cost, quality, and delivery. Collaborate with the legal team on manufacturing service agreements and/or statements of work to ensure contract compliance. Conduct executive-level quarterly business reviews (QBR) with critical suppliers to review mutual objectives, implementation, process, and performance evaluation. Manage and improve existing suppliers and help map out the future commodity management supplier strategy. Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with software service providers, including negotiation and management of service and support agreements with software service providers.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in International Business, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a directly related field plus five (5) years of experience in supply chain management, component manufacturing, and development of consumer electronics.
  • 5 years of experience in supply chain management, including supplier performance improvement
  • 5 years of experience in project management
  • 5 years of experience in supplier relationship management
  • 3 years of experience using ERP systems for supply chain management
  • 3 years of experience in contract management, including negotiations, strategy development, execution, running RFQ/RFP processes, supplier selection, and cost breakdown analysis
  • 3 years of experience working with international manufacturers/ supply chains
