About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Global Direct of Business Development – CloudHealth for driving growth and achieving sales targets across global markets. This individual will lead a high-performing sales team (Field Sales, Inside Sales, Customer Success Managers and Technical Account Managers), develop and execute sales strategies, and work closely with other key stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals. The Global Direct of Business Development – CloudHealth will also play a pivotal role in cultivating new business opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with key clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales strategy and execution, with a deep understanding of channel strategy and vendor relationships. The role reports to the Vice President, Sales ECS - Global New Models.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in business development, direct sales, or revenue leadership roles, with demonstrated success leading global, multi-tiered sales organizations.
  • Strong understanding of cloud solutions, SaaS business models, and consumption-based pricing, with experience selling into enterprise and mid-market customers.
  • Track record of developing and executing global sales strategies that drive revenue growth, market expansion, and consistent achievement of sales targets.
  • Deep understanding of channel strategy and vendor partnerships, including experience collaborating with technology vendors and strategic partners to align objectives and drive joint success.
  • Experience leading diverse, geographically distributed teams across Field Sales, Inside Sales, Customer Success, and Technical Account Management, with a coaching-first leadership style.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and optimize account coverage models, territories, and resource allocation to maximize customer engagement and revenue performance.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to build, maintain, and expand relationships with key customers, ensuring high satisfaction and long-term value.
  • Expertise in sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance reporting, with the ability to partner effectively with Revenue Operations.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Marketing, Pricing, Operations, and Finance to align sales execution with broader business objectives.
  • Experience managing sales budgets, controlling costs, and ensuring efficient use of resources while scaling growth.
  • Comfortable using data, KPIs, and market insights to guide decisions, assess performance, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Experience operating in a global environment, with cultural awareness and the ability to navigate regional market dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets and drive growth in the direct sales channel.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals. Foster a high-performance culture through coaching, training, and goal setting.
  • Account Coverage Model: Define and deploy the account coverage model by defining geos and optimizing coverage through field sales, inside sales, customer satisfaction managers and technical account managers teams
  • Sales Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the direct sales team, ensuring that the sales process is efficient, standardized, and consistently executed
  • Client Satisfaction Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key direct customers to maximize customer satisfaction and revenue opportunities.
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Work closely with the Revenue Operations team to provide accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and progress against sales targets to leadership.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new market opportunities to expand the customer base and increase market share in direct sales channels.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, pricing directors and operations teams to align sales strategies and tactics with broader organizational objectives.
  • External Stakeholder Management: Work closely with Broadcom IMS/ CloudHealth management for alignment of strategies and objectives
  • Budgeting & Financial Management: Manage the sales team budget, monitor sales costs, and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
  • Sales Training & Development: Continuously assess and enhance the skills of the sales team to improve performance and ensure alignment with industry best practices.
