About The Position

re:Cycle Reverse Logistics (RRL) delivers asset recovery and dispositioning services for server and networking electronics across a network of five global processing facilities. The organization transforms end-of-life technology into recoverable value through a combination of sanitization, refurbishment, component extraction, and responsible recycling, ensuring customers achieve maximum return on their retired assets while maintaining strict data security and compliance standards. The team is seeking a detail-oriented, standards-driven, and self-motivated Global Process Owner (GPO) to take ownership of the organization's global packaging processes and solutions, ensuring that the organization's high-value assets are handled safely and securely in storage and between facilities for the best possible price and effort to achieve results. Packaging is not an afterthought in a high-velocity global operation — it is a critical enabler of operational success that protects asset value throughout processing, ensures materials arrive at their destination in the condition required for maximum recovery value, and directly impacts the cost of every transaction that passes through our facilities. This role owns the full lifecycle of packaging at RRL: defining packaging standards and constraints for all material types and disposition channels, managing packaging acquisition and non-inventory tool supply, monitoring packaging adherence across global operations, and driving continuous cost reduction through standardization, circular supply chain development, and process optimization. The Packaging GPO sits at the intersection of operations, logistics, disposition, safety, and cost management — and will work most closely with the Logistics GPO and Destinations GPO, given the natural overlap in inbound and outbound packaging requirements and disposition channel specifications. This is not just a documentation role — it is a governance and continuous improvement role where the underlying mandate is asset safety, security, and cost reduction over time, achieved by making processes better, not just recording what they are.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field, or 4+ years of industry work experience
  • 2+ years of supply chain, inventory management or project management experience
  • 4+ years of experience in packaging engineering, supply chain, logistics, warehousing, or reverse logistics operations

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of automated material handling systems, packaging technologies and storage solutions
  • Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across the organization to act without having a direct reporting relationship
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Experience creating, iterating, and improving end-to-end global supply chains
  • Experience in product validation (Shock/Drop, cycle testing, environmental testing)
  • Experience in complex cross-functional change management

Responsibilities

  • Develop organizational packaging standards — work instructions, process flows, and touch time analysis — as the single source of truth for all RRL disposition channels.
  • Build and maintain the organization's global packaging materials catalog, standardizing definitions and packaging solutions across facilities, with procurement metrics to optimize cost and protection.
  • Design and manage circular supply chains for packaging recovery — tracking materials sent to external recipients and recovering them where possible to reduce costs.
  • Create feedback mechanisms routing packaging quality data and shipping defects back into standards, partnering with organizational GPOs to drive structured process improvements in synch where possible.
  • Own packaging quality, lifecycle, and procurement metrics globally — driving escalations when performance falls short, leading root cause investigations, and aligning KPIs with operational goals.
  • Conduct monthly packaging audits across all RRL facilities to verify adherence, identify risks including carrier non-compliance, and prevent failures before they damage inventory or shipments.
  • Engage with system and product teams to surface packaging process gaps, ensure packaging is represented in product design, and manage acquisition strategy balancing cost and availability.
  • Supporting change management for packaging-related process changes, ensuring that new process updates are properly evaluated, documented, and communicated globally.

Benefits

  • health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage)
  • 401(k) matching
  • paid time off
  • parental leave
