About The Position

The primary focus area will be developing and deploying global manufacturing technology standards, embracing an enterprise-focused organization that empowers GE Vernova to outperform peers by accelerating and delivering integrated value greater than the sum of its individual business segments. In this role the GPEL - GEV HQ will be responsible for the continuous improvement and accelerating the maturity of GE Vernova’s One Product One Process operating method; leveraging established best practices, creating strategies and roadmaps/actions plans to guide and deliver on building out a GE Vernova business system framework focused on unified manufacturing technology. This role may be performed from the United States or Europe, with flexibility on remote, hybrid, or onsite work locations. Expected travel requirement of 50%+ of the time. The Global Process Engineering Leader for GE Vernova HQ (GPEL - GEV HQ) will work closely with the Enterprise Development, Growth and Excellence (EDGE) organization, leveraging the “One Product One Process” approach to strengthen our alignment with GE Vernova’s five enterprise strategic imperatives and help us deliver on our goals and objectives. In this role the GPEL - GEV HQ will be responsible for the continuous improvement and accelerating the maturity of GE Vernova’s One Product One Process operating method; leveraging established best practices, creating strategies and roadmaps/actions plans to guide and deliver on building out a GE Vernova business system framework focused on unified manufacturing technology. This person will oversee the GE Vernova One Product One Process team, ensuring that we are learning from each other and taking a common approach as an organization to making manufacturing technology, automation, robotics, and AI imperatives real. The GPEL - GEV HQ will lead the entire lifecycle of manufacturing technology, from concept and design through testing, deployment, effective use, upgrades, and eventual retirement. This role requires leadership expertise in manufacturing technology leveraging mechanical engineering, electrical systems, computer science, sensor science, robotics and manufacturing methods. This person will be responsible for deploying the standardization of manufacturing equipment and processes, establishing standards, and ensuring adherence to these standards. They will also be a focal point for new technology introductions, asset transfers, new process introductions, and strategic business investments to help us work in a more collaborative and integrated way that creates value for our customers and GE Vernova. This person will coach and influence a global organization, comprised of business and factory technical leads across GE Vernova, strengthening our customer experience as one company and maximizing inter-connected scale across our Power, Wind and Electrification businesses. Critical to the role is leveraging analytical skills, the lean methodology and the guiding principle of creating process standards for equipment (“One Product One Process”) to drive SQDC in line with business and functional objectives.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited university or college in: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive experience leading the design, deployment, and scale-up of manufacturing technologies in complex industrial environments
  • Deep technical expertise across core manufacturing processes, including machining, joining, finishing, assembly, and related production methods
  • Strong knowledge of industrial automation, controls, and digital/physical system integration
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex manufacturing and equipment challenges and translate solutions into scalable standards
  • Proficiency on Lean (hands on): Standard Work, Daily Management, Value Stream Mapping, 3P, SPC, TPM, etc and how to apply tools to improve processes and leverage Kaizens to accelerate and sustain changes.
  • Proven leadership of cross-functional, global teams in delivering large-scale manufacturing initiatives
  • Strong program execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-impact initiatives simultaneously
  • Sound business and operational judgment, including understanding of cost, productivity, and performance metrics

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to read and interpret electro-mechanical schematics.
  • Fluent in electrical/controls technology in a production and processing environment.
  • Functional knowledge of HMI and system design.
  • Experience using CAD/CAM software like NX and SolidWorks.
  • Experience with machine learning and AI applications.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as C++, Python, or MATLAB.
  • Fundamental understanding of basic Computer Numerical Code (CNC) machine operation
  • Experience with Non-Destructive Test (NDT) methods, Metrology, Fabrication, Welding, Broaching, Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM), Grinding, Milling, Turning, Thermal Coatings, Finishing, Product Assembly, and Functional Product Testing.

Responsibilities

  • Coach the design, development, prototyping, testing, and operationalization of innovative manufacturing solutions.
  • Integrate, maintain, and enhance the One Product One Process taxonomy throughout GE Vernova to unify the selection and use of manufacturing technology.
  • Develop simulations and tests to validate the performance and reliability of manufacturing systems under real-world production conditions.
  • Support design reviews with internal stakeholders and integration partners to determine equipment requirements and ensure consistent project execution across GE Vernova.
  • Develop, propagate, and maintain templates that assist with documentation of technical specifications, test plans, and maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with industry safety and regulatory standards throughout the development and deployment process.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in manufacturing technology, robotics, artificial intelligence, and automation.
  • Work projects to a specific schedule and budget, providing timely communication to key stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support, leadership and coaching to a Global team of regional experts to operationalize new equipment standards, processes and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., EHS, Manufacturing Engineers, Design Engineering, Process Engineers, Quality, Materials, Industrialization, Operations and Sourcing) to define project requirements and ensure seamless integration.
  • Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes or services.
  • Stays informed of industry trends that may influence our work.
  • Use a high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering.
