About The Position

FoundryCo, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Global Payroll, to lead and scale our multi-country payroll operations across North America, Europe, and APAC. In this role, you will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing as we continue to expand across jurisdictions. You will partner closely with Finance, Human Resources, Legal, IT, and external payroll vendors to ensure payroll processes are executed accurately, compliantly, and with a strong customer-service mindset. Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive payroll leadership experience, including global and multi-country operations.
  • Strong expertise in U.S. federal, state, and local payroll compliance, with solid knowledge of international payroll regulations, tax requirements., and standard payroll practices.
  • Demonstrated experience managing global payroll vendors and outsourced providers.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday or other enterprise HRIS/payroll systems, including ADP Workforce Now and global payroll platforms.
  • Strong understanding of payroll accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, audit controls, and statutory reporting.
  • Proven ability to lead in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Track record of driving improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills across diverse cultures and seniority levels.
  • Strong control mindset and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end U.S. multi-state payroll operations, with responsibility for expanding across multiple countries to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing for all pay periods.
  • Standardize and streamline global payroll processes to reduce complexity, enhance efficiency, and improve the employee experience, drive automation and system enhancements to scale operations.
  • Serve as the payroll subject matter expert and primary cross-functional partner to Finance, HR, Legal, and IT.
  • Manage global payroll vendors and optimize system integrations while maintaining data integrity and strong internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies across all jurisdictions.
  • Maintain audit readiness and documentation standards to support internal and external audits.
  • Lead payroll integration efforts for mergers, acquisitions, and international expansions, including transition to a single global payroll provider where applicable.
  • Prepare, analyze, and reconcile payroll reports, including GL, balance sheet, and P&L accounts, to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for payroll inquiries, delivering clear communication and exceptional service.
