We are seeking a Global IT Director to lead and evolve our company-wide technology ecosystem across a global organization. This role oversees IT operations, infrastructure, networking, systems, cybersecurity, and end-user support while shaping the long-term technology roadmap. The ideal leader is both strategic and hands-on and is comfortable guiding a global team, managing vendors, and diving into technical details as needed to ensure reliability, security, and scalability.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, ideally in a global, multi-site, medium-sized company environment.
  • Proven success managing IT operations across on-prem, cloud, network, and cybersecurity functions.
  • Hands-on technical experience with modern infrastructure, networking, cloud services, and enterprise systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and scale a distributed IT team.
  • Strong and up-to-date understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, compliance requirements, and risk management.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and executive-level partnership skills.

Responsibilities

  • IT Leadership & Strategy
  • Develop and execute a global IT strategy aligned with business growth and operational goals.
  • Lead and mentor a geographically distributed IT team; build capabilities, structure, and processes to support scale.
  • Partner with the COO, Central Engineering, and the executive team on technology planning, investment decisions, and enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Establish and monitor IT KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Infrastructure & Operations
  • Oversee on-premises and cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Manage global network architecture, including connectivity, VPNs, firewalls, and endpoint management.
  • Ensure efficient procurement, deployment, and lifecycle management of hardware, software, and IT assets.
  • Maintain documentation, standards, and operational processes, including incident response plans across all sites and countries.
  • Systems, Applications & Support
  • Lead the implementation, integration, and optimization of enterprise applications and SaaS tools.
  • Work closely with Central Engineering to securely enable a variety of on-prem and off-prem CAD tools and multiple geographically distributed lab environments.
  • Work closely with the CFO organization to securely enable our ERP environment.
  • Oversee end-user support across 10+ countries, ensuring consistent service levels and rapid issue resolution.
  • Partner with business leaders to understand technology needs and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance
  • Own the cybersecurity posture, policies, certifications, and response planning for the global organization.
  • Oversee identity and access management, vulnerability management, and threat monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with international regulations and industry standards; drive continuous risk mitigation.
  • Vendor, Budget & Project Management
  • Manage the global IT budget, asset planning, and cost optimization.
  • Evaluate, negotiate, and manage vendor relationships and service providers.
  • Lead major IT projects, including infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, and system modernization efforts.
