We are rapidly growing and yet we have never been more focused – on our people, on our growth, on our future. -- Hologic is seeking a Director, IT Global Services Solution, and reporting directly to VP Commercial and Global Services and will be a strategic partner and central point of contact for all Global Services initiatives. They will need to ensure priorities are understood across the Global IT organization and define and execute a strategic roadmap in partnership with the Global Services organization. This role is pivotal in the ongoing evolution of Hologic’s technology capabilities and requires strategic, critical, and creative thinking to present optimal solutions across the company’s technology stack. You must be an outstanding communicator, conveying technically complex information in easily understood terms to business stakeholders. The Director is responsible for building an engaged and high-performing team and culture, focusing on delivering high-quality technology solutions. They will oversee, lead, and provide guidance to the Solution Delivery team to execute and deliver against the strategic roadmap. This role will be accountable for the performance of the team and be willing to have brave conversations, demonstrating managerial courage to always do the right thing, even if it is not the popular decision. They must have the ability to clearly convey appropriate points to all levels and influence the business when there are conflicting priorities. They must drive clarity and consensus, which may mean that requests are not delivered in the desired timeframe. They must be able to manage ambiguity and still drive results through grey areas. This role must be able to look across the various ecosystem and IT areas to prioritize and deliver solutions to drive and support the business. This role will drive and ensure cross-functional global team collaboration through partnerships with business leaders, to ensure success. This position drives best practices for optimizing implementation, ongoing operation costs and improving system performance. They are responsible for collaborating with partners and stakeholders across the Company and must be an outstanding communicator in both oral and written forms, conveying technically complex information and concepts in easily understood terms to business stakeholders. This role must think strategically, critically, and creatively to present optimal solutions across the company’s technology stack. This is a hybrid role based in Marlborough, MA.

Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in the IT area supporting enterprise-scale business applications.
  • Minimum of (5+) years of management experience, leading teams of 10 or more.
  • Articulate and effective communicator (both written and verbal) with the ability to convey technically complex information and concepts in easily understood terms.
  • Proven, dynamic leader with strong interpersonal and management skills, and the ability to develop the next generation of IT talent.
  • Demonstrated ability to operationalize vision and successfully executing strategies that support business initiatives.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to build strong collaborative relationships with business unit heads and functional managers.
  • Ability to influence across boundaries
  • Understanding of technologies, integration principles, and business process areas that support Global Services business.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic initiatives to support growth plans through the optimization and expansion of capabilities.
  • Lead, drive and manage Global IT Service area to support Global Service strategy including technology roadmap, partnering with the business to secure budget when required, and alignment to defined project timelines and milestones.
  • Define and implement solutions using enterprise application platforms to simplify business processes, increase efficiencies, and drive growth opportunities.
  • Drive transformational change and innovation while balancing business, infrastructure, and technology needs.
  • Partner with the business on the ongoing management of the business prioritization process for technology.
  • Partner with Global Services leadership to ensure oversight and ownership of the execution of projects and programs, addressing the needs of the business.
  • Work with IT security to ensure the delivery of secure, compliant solutions.
  • Establish priorities, provide guidance, and assist with developing business cases to support technology and transformation investments.
  • Drive and deliver against the business roadmap through active feedback from business partners.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies within and outside the Salesforce ecosystem, educating business partners on new technological possibilities.
  • Ensure projects are sourced with appropriate IT resources and external vendors.
  • Represent the Global Services business priorities within the IT governance process.
  • Manage expectations, priorities, and projects through appropriate and frequent communication with business stakeholders.
  • Deliver business results within budget and achieve the expected ROI on IT investments. Manage Global Services IT budgetary obligations and track IT projects and initiatives, including related procurement processes.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Global Services team to achieve secure, reliable, and cost-effective operations of applications.
  • Mentor, support, and drive global awareness within the team.
  • Empower the Global Services delivery team to succeed by removing roadblocks and coaching the team to high levels of performance.
  • Demonstrate a management style that encourages mentorship, teamwork, participation, communication, and service orientation.
  • Provide business process guidance, technology solutions, and ongoing operational support in the Service functional area.
  • Ensure key business strategies and processes are supported by technology systems that enable growth and flexibility.
  • Create a culture of IT professionals focused on deep business alignment, accountability for outcomes, and continuous improvement.
  • Consciously create a workplace culture that emphasizes the mission, vision, guiding principles, and values of Hologic.
  • Oversee and drive Global Services Demand Plan funnel and PlanView entries/ Cross Portfolio management
  • Develop strong strategic partnerships and become a trusted advisor to the business.
  • Support the business in developing the messaging to communicate the business value of the solutions enabled and delivered.
  • Ensure cross-functional global team collaboration through partnership with business leaders.
